The incredible internet marketing course

The incredible internet marketing course, Pre-Training Day 3.

Today I want to go through “day three”, of the “One Funnel Away” challenge. As I go through this course I want to document my daily journey. Today is pre-training day three is titled “The Who Not the How”, which I think is an interesting title, let’s look at the challenge to see what we can learn.

The challenge can be found here, or if you go to the “One Funnel Away” Challenge, site, you’ll see the sales funnel and you’ll see that it’s $100 to join the challenge, which is incredible value for money.

Russell Brunson’s video today is 17-minutes. Russell is attempting to pre-empt a common issue that causes a lot of people to fail and gives this warning and his solution.

Let’s look at the following common path many people find themselves on; The future vision of how you want to serve people is clear, and you are on the path to success. Then, something happens, and you don’t know how to make the necessary progress, so now the momentum is halted and most people begin to procrastinate. The solution is to say, “Who” not “how”. We can call on someone else’s services to enable us to reach our vision quicker. This will depend very much on varying budgets but you get the idea.

Click funnels have created a great asset called “Funnel Rolodex”, with a catalog of services that we can use. Russell concludes with a study of the value of your time, which enables us to be able to better judge when I need to hire others or when I need to do the work myself.

Stephen Larsen’s video in the member’s area is 46-minutes today and compliments Russell’s teaching. The story of a fun game dodging tennis balls, gave Stephen an “Aha” moment when he realized he needs to be the orchestrator in his business and not the “Jack of all trades, and the master of none”, and probably will be a long road to success. He explains the importance of, “team” and to not be tempted to take on every roll in your business.

Also why your business needs a system, or why things need to be automated, before the business gets out of control, as the revenue comes in, the systems or processes need to be improved or automated, to keep pace with your business growth.

A great explanation in the use of “red dots”, and “green dots” to priorities what’s most important. Take your “to-do” list and mark everything that is revenue-generating with a green dot, then mark everything that is not revenue-generating with a red dot, then only progress the green dots. I think this will also be good practice for this challenge, to help get things out of my head, and to reduce stress, especially when the challenge starts for real next week.

The Who Not the How

Stephen continues with belief and digs deep into how to use our past failures to our advantage. People get the idea that most successful people have either always been successful or achieved success quickly. But this isn’t normally the case. A panel of millionaires was asked, “How many businesses failed before you had a business that succeeded”, most had a dozen failed businesses and years of trying and failing.

Stephen explains why this challenge is a shortcut to success because of the sales techniques taught.

A 10-minute video by Jim Edwards concludes the daily tasks and continues with Jim’s copywriting teaching. He explains why you need to be good at copy, but how you can still succeed if you’re not great. At the end of the day, you can’t beat a man at his own trade, I might be able to write ok sales copy, and I need at least this ability, because if I need to hire someone to do this for me then, I need to be able to know if the copy that someone else writes, is good or not. I also need to edit, I need to tweak it, test it, and as good copywriters are normally busy, if I need it done fast, I will need to do it myself anyway. In Jim’s opinion, the copy is the most important part of building a sales funnel.

Today’s assignment is to priorities this in my calendar because Jim plans to skip ahead a little bit so that when the other parts of the challenge take up my time, then my copy is done ahead of time.

It’s been another very good day; I’ve enjoyed it, learned lots more important marketing secrets that I’m sure will be invaluable as I go through this challenge.

I’ll come back tomorrow with pre-training day four of the challenge tomorrow.

See you then.

Thank you.
